The public is invited to attend four upcoming Escambia County Area Transit public workshops to provide input regarding proposed modifications to six bus routes recommended in the Comprehensive Operational Analysis Plan.
A Comprehensive Operational Analysis Plan conducted in 2014 to asses ECAT efficiency recommended modifications to Route 41, Route 57, Route 59A, Route 59X, Route 61, and Route 64 (map of current routes attached). The suggested modifications from the COA include shortening routes, eliminating/adding stops, eliminating service on low ridership days, and eliminating one or more routes. These proposed changes are the next step of the plan implantation. In 2016, several recommendations were put into operation including the creation of Route 31, Route 32, and Route 52, along with a newer version of Route 41.
