County employees are expected to report to work. County offices will be open to the public at the Central Office Complex for building permits. The Emergency Operations Center at the Public Safety Building will continue to operate 24/7. West Florida Public Libraries are closed through Tuesday, Sept. 22 to the public for cleanup after Hurricane Sally. ECAT will be running regular modified service starting Tuesday, September 22nd. Welcome to the Escambia County Cares Act Portal

The national COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted many residents of Escambia County and our business community. The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to provide financial grant opportunities to eligible residents and small businesses. Grants will be provided to:
  • Residents and families who have been financially impacted;
  • Small businesses that have been forced to temporarily close and/or lost significant business revenue; and
  • Residents seeking re-employment or better jobs through a worker training program.

Escambia CARES Family Assistance Grant Program

Open Dates: 9/25/20 – 9/29/20

The Escambia CARES Family Emergency Financial Assistance Grant Program will provide approximately 1,790 eligible households of the county $2,000 in relief aid. Applicants will need to meet application requirements. 

The application window will open Friday, Sept. 25 at 8 A.M.
and will close on Tuesday, Sept. 29.


Escambia CARES Business Assistance Grant Program

Open Dates: 10/2/20 – 10/6/20

The Escambia CARES Emergency Business Financial Assistance Grant Program will provide eligible businesses of Escambia County funding who have lost revenue as a result of COVID-19 related circumstances.

The application window will open Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 A.M.
and will close on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
