Financial Incentives

  • Financial assistance towards Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remediation
  • Façade, landscape, infrastructure and sign improvement grants available for sites located within designated redevelopment districts
  • $2,500+ Job Bonus Refund for each new job created by an eligible business on or abutting a site with a Brownfield Site Rehabilitation Agreement.
  • State Loan Guarantees for primary lenders up to 50% for Brownfield sites, or 75% if the property is redeveloped as affordable housing, or healthcare facility or provider.
  • For sites with a BSRA:
    • 50% Voluntary Cleanup Tax Credit annually on all eligible costs
    • 50% One-Time VCTC on eligible solid waste removal costs
    • +25% additional VCTC on eligible costs when cleanup is complete
    • +25% additional VCTC if the property is redeveloped with affordable housing, or healthcare facility or provider
