There are four divisions within the Waste Services Department: AdministrationLandfill OperationsEngineering and Compliance, and Programs. The fees collected are used to maintain the landfill and equipment, as well as support all Waste Services programs. The department works to manage Escambia County waste in an economically and environmentally sound manner and receives no county tax dollars. 

The Escambia County Waste Services Department operates two facilities open to the public: the Perdido Landfill and the Oak Grove Citizens’ Convenience Center. Escambia County has independent residential waste services providers.


Perdido Landfill

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday
7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Saturday
7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

*Please note: Landfill customers with large loads that require manual offloading are asked to deliver loads no later than 30 minutes prior to closing (4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday). Large loads delivered after these times will need to come back the following business day.

Oak Grove Citizen's Center

Hours of Operation:
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday and Saturday
