The Transportation and Traffic Operations Division maintains and operates all traffic signals on unincorporated area roadways and bridges. The division is also responsible for actuated signals, radar speed limit signs and school, intersection and emergency beacons.

Traffic signal maintenance is a high priority with crews available for emergency service calls 24/7. For none critical issues, our goal is to respond to traffic signal service request within 48-hours of notification.

Residents are asked to report all signal issues they may encounter either via our Ask MyEscambia App, email or phone.

Some problems warrant immediate attention from signal maintenance crews to ensure public safety. We ask that these issues are reported to our Traffic Signal Hotline at 850-595-3484 This number is manned 24-hours a day by county staff our our signal contractor, Ingram. Examples of emergency issues include:

  • All lights out due to power outage
  • Signals flashing red in all directions
  • Loose or turned signal heads
  • Damage caused by vehicles/accidents
  • Burned out lamps
