Olive Road Detour Extended to Friday, Jan. 31

Due to inclement weather and utility conflicts, Olive Road, between Malibu Drive and Six Pence Ave., will be closed and detoured an additional week. The detour began Monday, Jan. 20 and is expected to remain in effect with efforts to reopen the road before Friday, Jan. 31. If roadway closures are necessary beyond the above-described time periods, another notice will be issued.

A portion of Olive Road, east of Malibu Drive will be closed to through traffic. Eastbound traffic will be detoured along Olive Road to Malibu Drive, detoured around the north intersection of Malibu Drive and Tippin Ave., proceed north to Pompano Drive and travel east to Six Pence Drive. Travel south on Six Pence Drive to then detour left Olive Road. Westbound traffic will detour right onto Six Pence Drive. Detour left onto Pompano Drive. Detour left onto Tippin Ave. and then detour right back to Olive road to travel westbound.
 
Construction will consist of laying new 18-inch storm drain across Olive Road for the Olive Road Multi-Lane Reconstruction and Drainage Project Phase 2.
