Escambia County will host a kick-off ceremony for the North Escambia Transportation Service Pilot Project on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
The event will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the Community Health Northwest Florida Clinic located at 501 Church St., Century. Applications for the North Escambia Transportation Service will be available, and ECAT officials will be on site to answer questions about the program.
The North Escambia Transportation Service Pilot Project is a new door-to-door demand response transportation project that is funded through a Transportation Disadvantaged Mobility Enhancement Grant. The project will begin Wednesday, Feb. 20 and will provide transportation to services within the area of Century, Molino, Walnut Hill, Davisville, Bratt and McDavid.
To qualify for the program, participants must live north of Quintette Road within Escambia County and complete a short application. All trips will require 24-hour advance reservation.
