The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced it is temporarily closing the Business Recovery Center located in Escambia County in observance of Thanksgiving. The Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, and will resume regular operations at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27.
The SBA also reminds Florida residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations that Dec. 1 is the deadline to apply for physical disaster loans to assist with damages caused by Hurricane Sally, Sept. 14 - 28, 2020.
In accordance with precautions for COVID-19, the SBA established protocols to help protect the health and safety of the public. Visitors to the BRC are encouraged to wear a face mask. The Center is located at:

As of Nov. 22, the SBA had approved 1,101 loans in Escambia County for $41,364,481.
Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via the SBA’s secure website at
DisasterLoanAssistance.sba.gov/.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 1, 2020. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 2, 2021.
