Mission Statement

The mission of the Public Works Department is to provide efficient, responsive services that enhance the quality of life, meet common needs, and promote a safe and healthy community.




FY 2017-2018 Accomplishments

  • Completed 3,974 work requests.
  • Prepped 1.5 miles of dirt roads for paving.
  • Resurfaced 5 miles of open graded/cold mix roads.
  • Street sweeping: 4,784 miles swept, removing 4,410 cubic yards of debris.
  • Sidewalk maintenance: completed four maintenance cycles on 93.25 miles of sidewalks and 383 county-owned lots.
  • Holding ponds: 27 holding ponds rehabilitated.
  • Holding ponds: Completed three mowing cycles for 630 ponds totaling approximately 920 acres.
  • Pot hole patching: Patched 7,718 potholes while completing 2,412 requests.
  • Right of way mowing: 5,741 miles mowed.
