The Emergency Communications division provides the critical link between Emergency Management, Escambia County EMS, Escambia County Fire Rescue, law enforcement services and the citizens who call 911 for emergency assistance. The 911 center, or ECC,  processes over 200,000 emergency calls each year. Additionally, the ECC dispatches approximately 50,000 medical calls and 20,000 fire calls annually. All ECC employees are certified by the State of Florida, the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch and the National Academy of Emergency Fire Dispatch.
