  • District 3 Aviation Field/Brentwood Neighborhood Cleanup May 8

    May 2, 2024
    Join us in keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe! A neighborhood cleanup for residents in Aviation Field/Brentwood will take place Wednesday, May 8. This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge. Yard debris is eligible for removal during this cleanup.

    Escambia County's Natural Resources Management Department invites residents to attend the 2nd Annual Northwest Florida Regional Resiliency Seminar Friday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center, 913 S. "I" St. This event is free to attend and open to anyone interested in learning more about resiliency in northwest Florida.
  • Escambia County EMS Earns Outstanding State Compliance Review

    Considered a "role model of excellence as an EMS provider in the state of Florida," Escambia County Emergency Medical Services has passed the Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight's Compliance Monitoring site survey with no deficiencies found, with the Bureau praising Escambia County EMS for its exemplary service and organization. This inspection marks Escambia County EMS’s second state inspection since 2021, both of which were passed with zero deficiencies.
  • Emergency Communications Administrative Phone Lines Restored

    The Escambia County Emergency Communications administrative phone lines have been restored following a temporary outage. Citizens may resume dialing the administrative phone line at 850-471-6300.
  • Emergency Communications Administrative Phone Lines Down, 9-1-1 Still Operational

    May 1, 2024
    Escambia County Emergency Communications administrative phones are temporarily down for inbound and outbound calls due to a technical issue. Citizens can still dial 9-1-1 for emergencies.

ABOUT US

The office of Community and Media Relations is responsible for coordinating county communications and releasing accurate and timely information to Escambia County residents, the media and Board of County Commissioners’ employees. CMR acts as a full-service communication office for county departments, assisting with heightening awareness of the county’s mission, programs, policies, initiatives, and services in order to foster good relationships with our citizens and media partners. CMR also works in the field and is available to the media 24/7 for emergencies.
