  • ECAT Route 58 Suspended May 18

    May 17, 2024
    Escambia County Area Transit will suspend Route 58 Saturday, May 18, while bus operators provide support for the Navy Days event in downtown Pensacola. Regular service will resume Monday, May 20.
  • Animal Welfare Adoption Special Extended to May 31

    May 17, 2024
    The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare will continue to offer free adoptions for all cats and dogs one year or older from May 17-31. Puppies will be available for $50 and kittens will be available for $25. An $11 licensing fee will be applied to all adoptions for Escambia County residents.
  • First Loggerhead Nest Recorded on Pensacola Beach May 17

    Escambia County Sea Turtle Patrol volunteers recorded the first nest of the 2024 season on Pensacola Beach early Friday morning, May 17. After finding two false crawls earlier in the week, volunteers and staff are thrilled to finally receive a nest.
  • Reminder: ECFR to Host Physical Abilities Demonstration, Q&A Session May 20

    May 17, 2024
    Escambia County Fire Rescue is hosting a demonstration of the physical abilities test to anyone interested in joining the organization Monday, May 20, at 2 p.m. at Pensacola Fire Department Station #4, located at 1 N. "Q" St. The demonstration will serve as an opportunity for applicants or anyone interested in a career in the fire service to gain hands-on knowledge of the physical abilities test.

ABOUT US

The office of Community and Media Relations is responsible for coordinating county communications and releasing accurate and timely information to Escambia County residents, the media and Board of County Commissioners’ employees. CMR acts as a full-service communication office for county departments, assisting with heightening awareness of the county’s mission, programs, policies, initiatives, and services in order to foster good relationships with our citizens and media partners. CMR also works in the field and is available to the media 24/7 for emergencies.
